Flying Cloud/Lightning

Built in 1996, the Flying Cloud and Lightning operate on year-round commuter service connecting Quincy, Hull, Boston, and Logan Airport. They are also used for harbor cruises and sunset cruises. The vessels are designed with state-of-the-art integrated docks for bow loading enabling them to make extra fast turnarounds.

Both MBTA Harbor Express vessels feature climate controlled cabins with an open air second deck, snack bar, restrooms, and ADA access.

The MBTA Harbor Express ferries are powered by twin diesel engines driving waterjets and cruise at 28 knots.
