The Boston Harbor Islands National Park Area includes 34 islands offering something for everyone! Imagine a place 20 minutes from Boston where you can camp, hike, fish, swim, picnic, explore tidal pools or just relax!
Park rangers lead guided tours of Fort Warren on Georges Island and tell the ghost story of the Lady in Black. Or visit the beach or new solar powered Visitor Center on newly-opened Spectacle Island. From Georges, take the Inter-Island Shuttle to Lovells, Peddocks, Grape, and Bumpkin Islands offering more sightseeing and adventure. Harbor Islands Express operates high-speed ferries departing from Long Wharf in Boston by the Christopher Columbus Park, and the Hingham Shipyard. One fee covers the round trip to Georges Island or Spectacle Island. We also offer Sunset Cruises every night with a chance to watch the sun set over the city skyline from Georges Island!

Due to the increase in visitors to the islands during
summer weekends, we recommend a one-island
adventure for Guests arriving after 12:00 PM, with a
visit to Spectacle or Georges only.
The inter-island shuttle has limited capacity, and is
a first come, first served shuttle.
Weekend Guests may find it frustrating and stressful to spend a large portion of their visit waiting to be transferred between the islands, especially if they are catching a scheduled ferry on the other island and do not make it onto the first shuttle they were waiting for.
* Valid for a amily of 2 adults and 2 children 3-11, or two adults, one child 3-11 and one senior 65+.
Any additional family members must pay full fare.
